Get to Know Me
I grew up in Northwest Iowa and was always interested in science, nature and how things work. My grandfather was a flight surgeon in World War II and later practiced internal medicine making frequent house calls day and night.
Early on, I realized I wanted to take care of women. Our inner strength and capacity for selflessness is inspiring, and it’s unique that in OBGYN it is mostly women taking care of women. The energy that brings is like no other!
I started practicing in Portland, OR before returning to the Midwest. Patent education is a very important part of my practice. Whether helping my patients make a decision regarding treatment or keeping myself up to date on the latest trends, research, and treatments. I want to provide learning opportunities that are both comfortable and informative and enjoy interacting with women of all ages and backgrounds to tailor their options.
My special interests are in adolescent medicine, high risk pregnancies, laparoscopic surgery, vulvar disease, and the perimenopausal transition.
When Not at Work
It is not easy balancing a full work schedule with a busy family life, which includes being a personal Uber to two teens. I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, lazy weekend mornings with my coffee, and walks around the lakes with friends.
