Get to Know Me
I grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota and knew in high school that I wanted to become a Nurse Practitioner. The holistic nature of nursing always felt like the right fit, though I wasn’t certain what I would specialize in until I began working in the field. I discovered a deep love for women’s health during my time as an oncology nurse, and that passion was reaffirmed while working in the NICU and on the postpartum unit.
I valued the relationships I was building at the bedside and knew that connection would only deepen as a Nurse Practitioner. One of the most rewarding parts of being a provider is the continuity of care. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients, hearing their stories, and supporting their evolving needs.
I practice trauma-informed care with a focus on shared decision-making and patient-empowered healthcare. I’m passionate about reproductive justice, social equity, and affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals. My areas of special interest in women’s health include perinatal mental health, hyperemesis gravidarum, obstetrics, and infertility.
When Not at Work
I live in Mound with my husband, our two young children, and our three dogs. Summers are our favorite, and we love to be near the water any chance we get. While there is less time for travel these days, we’re always up for an adventure – especially if it involves good food and a new place to explore!
